We’re excited to share several recent updates to the department website. Our website demonstrates our immense pride and gratitude in the Social Justice Education community and supports meaningful connections among learners, alumni, and colleagues. These pages also offer prospective students a window into the opportunities and pathways this program makes possible. Thank you to those contributing their time and stories to make these updates possible. We'd also like to remind folks that the 2025-26 SJE Student Handbook is always available for viewing under the "Current Students" tab.

Students Page

The Students page (found within the "People" tab) has been refreshed with new content! At the top, you’ll find video interviews with some current students recorded during the 2024–25 academic year. Below that, we’ve added short student profiles that share research interests alongside academic and professional backgrounds. Some students opted to share their LinkedIn profiles to build connection. We’ll keep adding more SJE student profiles over time, so be sure to check back periodically to keep learning about your peers. Many thanks to those who collaborated with the department on this page.

Alumni Page

We’ve redesigned the Alumni page (found within the "People" tab)! It now features reflections from SJE alumni on their degrees, research, and where their work has taken them. The range of directions represented speaks to the many ways an SJE graduate education can unfold. Several shared links to their publications, websites, and LinkedIn profiles. Further down the page, you’ll see a collection of alumni featured in the news, including stories from OISE, the University of Toronto, and international outlets. We love celebrating our graduates and highlighting the recognition they receive. This page is also still growing, so keep checking in to see who else shares reflections.

Honours and Awards Page

The Honours and Awards page (found within the "About" tab) has also been refreshed and continues to document the accomplishments of SJE students, faculty, and staff. We list awards that are publicly announced or that recipients have consented to being featured on the website. Updates are made on an ongoing basis since we’re always eager to celebrate our community’s accomplishments. If you receive an award during or after your time at SJE and would like it featured, please email SJE and we’ll be happy to help.
