Dr. Tanya Titchkosky and Dr. Rod Michalko Contribute Foreword to Disability and the University (2nd ed)
We are excited to celebrate the release of the second edition of (Peter Land, 2025), edited by Christopher McMaster and Benjamin Whitburn. This edition features a new foreword by SJE Professors Dr. Tanya Titchkosky and Dr. Rod Michalko, building on the first edition’s foreword by Mike Oliver.
This second edition continues to serve as "a guide to what students with disabilities need to know about attending university, as well as to the essential supports and rights universities should provide."
Dr. Tanya Titchkosky is a Professor of Disability Studies in Social Justice Education and a leading scholar in disability studies. She has written Disability, Self and Society and co-edited DisAppearing: Encounters in Disability Studies.
Dr. Rod Michalko, a blind disability studies theorist, retired from teaching at Social Justice Education, OISE, New College, York University, among other places. Internationally recognized for his books and essays on disability studies, Michalko’s latest, in both audio and print, is Letters with Smokie: Blindness and More than Human Questions.
