Together, they will explore the evolving role of international education, and how educational partnerships can shape a more connected and equitable future.
Dr. Rosanna Wong, DBE, JP is the Chairman of the Asia International School Limited and Senior Advisor of The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.
She serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of CK Asset Holdings Limited and The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, and is an Honorary Steward of The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Honorary Chairman of World Vision Hong Kong.
A former Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), she served on Hong Kong's Executive and Legislative Councils and chaired the Education Commission, the Commission on Youth and the Social Welfare Advisory Committee. Internationally, she served on the United Nations High Level Commission on Legal Empowerment of the Poor and the United Nations High Level Panel on Youth Employment.
Dr. Wong holds degrees from The University of Hong Kong, The University of Toronto, The London School of Economics and The University of California, Davis, where she earned her Ph.D. She has received honorary doctorates from five universities and is an Honorary Fellow of The London School of Economics and Political Science.
Dr. Ahmed Hussain is Chief Education Officer at Asia International School Limited, leading educational strategy and operations across its schools in Asia. He was also an Associate Professor at Durham University’s School of Education, a journal editorial board member, and an adviser to the Pudong Education Bureau in Shanghai.
After beginning his career as a post-doctoral research scientist at the University of Nottingham, Ahmed trained as a science teacher and later became Lecturer in Education at Durham University, leading science teacher education and researching curriculum, assessment, and professional development. He has held senior leadership roles in the UK, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, contributing to national education reform in the UAE. Prior to AISL, he was Director of Schools at Wellington College China.
His work in China focuses on education reform, teacher development, formative assessment, bilingual education, wellbeing, and school leadership. A strong advocate of holistic education, he lives in Hong Kong with his partner and two sons.
