We are excited to host a Lunch & Learn session on "Finding Supervision & Forming a Committee" led by Dr. Rubén Gaztambide-Fernández, Professor and Chair of the Department of Social Justice Education.
In this session, Dr. Gaztambide-Fernández will talk about the role of the supervisor and supervisory committee, and discuss strategies for finding a supervisor and identifying committee members. We will talk about the importance of establishing strong relationships with faculty and how to approach the process of developing a supervisory relationship, as well as the roles and responsibilities of both students and supervisors in the development of research. We will also talk about different approaches to supervision and how to find the right supervisor for you!
About the Speaker
Rubén Gaztambide-Fernández
Dr. Rubén Gaztambide-Fernández is a Professor and the current Chair of the Department of Social Justice Education. In the last two decades, he has supervised numerous doctoral and masters students and has served on many thesis committees. In his current role, he supports doctoral and masters students in the process of forming a committee and finding a supervisor.
