Biography
Angelie is a PhD candidate in the Developmental Psychology and Education program at OISE. Her research examines writing in young learners, exploring how self-regulation and self-efficacy relate to learning strategies such as questioning and planning to shape children's writing outcomes. She also investigates transparency and fairness in automated scoring, examining how ML models can be responsibly integrated into educational assessment. She has contributed to the BalanceAI platform by developing reading, writing, oral/speaking, and cognitive tasks. She has published research on reading and writing assessment, self-regulated learning, and creative expression. Currently, she works as a course instructor for APD1296 and APD1292 at OISE and as a teaching assistant at UTSC. In her free time, she enjoys bouldering, attending Pilates classes, and trying new restaurants and bars.
